She had her first Dharshan of Arul Tiru Amma in June 2003. In 2004 she had an opportunity to have three Dharshan of Arul Thiru Amma, in January, March and April. In January 2005, when she did a ‘Padha Pooja to Amma and mention to Amma that ”there is no centre in Sydney. Amma told her that; “you have thought of it” and granted her grace to Ushadevi to start a centre for prayers in Sydney.
In June 2005, Thirumathi Amma, Amma’s daughter Sakthi Umadevi, Sakthi Thiyagarajan and two others visited Australia. Prior to their visit, Sakthi Thiyagarajan told Sakthi Ushadevi about this visit and asked her to form a centre and prepare for the inauguration of the centre by Thirumathi Amma.
Therefore Sakthi Selvarasa invited some long-time devotees and new devotees to discuss about forming a centre. A committee of nine was formed and a constitution was drawn up, for a non-profit community Association. A centre was dully incorporated in the New South Wales Fair Trading as “Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Sidhar Peeta Sydney Centre Incorporated” (MASP Sydney Centre Inc.) on the 16th of June 2005.
After visiting Melbourne, Thrumathi Amma and the party visited Sydney. Arrangements were made to ceremonially open the centre on 05-06-05 at Homebush Boys High School. Thirumati Amma ceremonially oped the centre that evening by performong “Kunguma Archanai” to Adhiparasakthi, (refer page 64, August 2005 Sakthi Oli). Thirumathi Amma then addresses the devotees gathered there. During her address, she said this; “Build a Sakthi Peetam here, similar to “Sydney Murugan Temple”.
This centre has been gifted with three unique privileges. They are:

- The centre was ceremonially inaugurated by Thirumathi Amma.
- Thirumathi Amma initiated a thought to build a “Sakthipeetam “ in Sydney.
From the day of inauguration, this centre started regular Friday prayers at one of the class rooms in Homebush Boys High School.
